Anna Wilson, singer/songwriter, straddles both country and jazz. She was born in Philadelphia, raised in Chester Springs, Pennsylvania and moved to Nashville with her husband Monty Powell. They are both songwriters. She was featured on the albums of Billy Ray Cyrus and Lee Ann Womack. Wilson’s debut album, The Long Way was released by Curb Records in August 2003. It featured her song “The Bus Ride”, which she co-wrote with Gary Burr, Matt Rollings, and Suzy Bogguss. Time Changes Everything (2007) was Wilson’s second album. Jazz critics gave it high marks. Chuck Wicks’ Top 20 hit, “All I Ever Wanted”, was co-written by Wilson. Transfer Records released Yule Swing, her Christmas album of original songs on October 7, 2008. Next came a series jazzy duets featuring Keith Urban, Connie Smith and Kenny Rogers for an album called Countrypolitan Duets. It was released in 2011.
