Anthony Shadduck, a contrabassist living in Long Beach, is currently known. In 2006, he received his Master of Music degree in Jazz Studies and Performance at California State University Long Beach. He is active in both jazz and free improvisation. He has recorded and performed with LA-based musicians like Lynn Johnston, bass clarinetist and composer; Chris Schlarb sound artist and guitarist and the Create! Collective; Joe Biaza, the Universal Congress Of; pianist, flutist, and vocalist Emily Hay; trumpeter Ron Stout, tenor saxophonist Chuck Manning, drummer Evan Stone; singer, Nancy Sanchez drummer Ches Smith from Good for Cows; and guitarist Nels Cline, of Wilco.
