Anton Eger

Anton Eger, born 9 December 1980 in Oslo, Norway, is a Norwegian-Swedish drummer who has been a part of a number of recordings and collaborations including with Django Bates and Marius Neset. Eger, who studied jazz under Django Bates and also played drums on the album Spring is Here (Shall we Dance?) (2008). He is part of the Scandinavian quintet JazzKamikaze and has participated in several album releases. He also appeared at many international jazz festivals, including North Sea Jazz Festival (Kongsberg Jazzfestival), Moldejazz, North Sea Jazz Festival (North Sea Jazz Festival), Bangkok Jazz Festival, Rochester Jazz Festival) as well as the opening of Rio Carnival in Rio de Janeiro. He is also a member of the Phronesis trio with Jasper Hoiby, double bassist, and Ivo Neame, pianist and saxophonist. Six albums have been released so far.
