AS IS will be busy in the fall, preparing for their highly anticipated CD release “Here’s to Life” later this winter. Recorded in NYC by Grammy-nominated producer James McKinney the album combines the duo’s intimacy with the talents and many special guests such as drummer Marcus Baylor, acclaimed saxophonist David Binney, harmonica virtuoso Gregoire Maret, bassist Rashaan Cart, Latin percussionist Alejandro Lucini and vocalists Christie Dashiel, Carl “Kokayi”, Walker and members of Kennedy Center Orchestra. Alan Schulman, a jazz guitarist hailing from Cincinnati, Ohio, studied with Cal Collins (formerly of The Benny Goodman Orchestra). He has performed with jazz legends Wynton Marsalis, Wynton Marsalis, and Christie Dashiel.
