ASA TRIO, an organ/guitar/drums group based in Iceland, is called “ASA TRIO”. Agnar Mar Magnuson plays the organ and Andres Thor plays guitar. Scott McLemore plays drums. The band’s first studio album, appropriately titled “Plays The Music of Thelonius Monk”, was released in 2011. They also have two live albums: “Live at Domo” (2008) and “A Love Supreme Live at Cafe Cultura” (2009, 2009). The band draws on many influences, including Jimi Hendrix and Monk.
