He has been a musician in New York for 25 years and has performed with many artists including Jack McDuff (Marc Johnson), Lee Konitz, George Garzones, Tim Bernes, Kenny Wheeler, Tim Bernes, Tim Berne, George Garzone, Tim Bernes, Tim Berne, Tim Bernes, and Marc Johnson. He is a regular member the Maria Schneider Jazz Orchestra, the Paul Motian Octet and many other projects. From 2002 to 2005, he was on the faculty at the New England Conservatory. He has also conducted workshops and clinics around the globe. Ben continues to perform original music worldwide with his quartet, trio and a duo with vocalist Theo Bleckmann. As a sideman, he has been on more than 100 CDs and 4 albums as a leader: Oceana, Sunnyside (2005), Excavation, 2000), Dust, Arabesque (1997), and Flux, (Songlines (1995). From www.benmonder.com
