Benjamin Croft

Benjamin Croft, a British keyboardist/composer, has recorded with Chad Wackerman and Randy Brecker. He also worked with Allen Vizzutti and Barry Finnerty. He is well-known for his vast knowledge and experience in many music genres. His main focus is jazz. He began lessons in trumpet and piano at the age of seven. Later, he studied at Leeds College of Music. He moved to the USA after completing several contracts with international cruise lines. During that time, he toured the globe twice and worked alongside artists such as Leslie Garrett, The Temptations, and The Platters. Benjamin moved to London in 2012. He became a regular performer at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Cafe, Dean St, The Pheasantry Pizza Express Jazz Clubs and The Vortex. Here he played with some of the best musicians on the circuit. He has performed on the West End Show, ‘Straight From the Heart’, as well as TV shows like ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ and The Voice. He recorded Beautiful South founder Dave Hemingway’s latest project, ‘Sunbirds’ in 2018. He has also been a session musician and composer, as well as an arranger for many projects throughout the years. Benjamin’s first album, ’10 Reasons to …” was released on 33Jazz Records in March 2019. Twelve original compositions reflect his distinctive style and sound. This audacious crossover of genres seduced both the press and the public. His second album “Far and Distant Things”, which was recorded in 2020, was his second.
