Bill Stewart

William Harris “Bill” Stewart was conceived in Des Moines, Iowa on October 18, 1966. Bill Stewart was the son of a trombonist, Bill Harris “Bill” Stewart. He was an avid fan of Bill Harris who was a well-known jazz trombonist from both the 1940s and 1950s jazz scene. He was so passionate about Bill Harris’ work that he named Bill Stewart in his honor. Bill Stewart was first exposed to music when he listened to the rhythm and blues collection of his parents (R).
