Billy Jenkins was born in Bromley, Kent, as a boy. He sang in the occasional choirs at St. Paul’s, Westminster Abbey, and as a teenager, toured with legendary record label boss Clive Davis’ art rock band Burlesque (1972-1977). He also performed with Trimmer, an ‘alternative musical comedy’, and later recorded and toured with Burlesque (1977-1978).
