Around 20 years ago (1992-1995), my station was at the Presidio of San Francisco as a saxophone players in the U.S. Army. It was a great job, and a wonderful place to be! Apart from my military duties, I was able to play marches, parades and military change of command ceremonies. Also, I played in the jazz combo at General’s House (which overlooks the beautiful S.F. Bay) and a blossoming love affair with San Francisco. Twenty years later, I returned to San Francisco and had the idea of a jazz concept album where certain streets would have their own songs.
