Bushman’s Revolt, named after a South African brand of chilli sauce, is a long-serving member of the RG (Rune Grammofon), who also include Cream, Sun Ra and Alice Coltrane into the mix. I’d also add the heavy delights of King Crimson (and Van Der Graaf Generator). As with most of the acts on RG, Terje Rypdal (an avant-jazz musician from Norway) is standing in the background. He released some incredible Euro-fusion material in the 1970s on ECM. Bushman’s Revenge have a sound that is both dark and bright at the same time. They use improvisation and composition to create their songs. From thequietus.com
