Candelaria is a tempting challenge for music lovers. The group Candelaria was formed by some members of elbicho. They have been letting their imaginations run wild since 2004, when they started composing music. Each member has had a varied career and is now able to combine their talents to create a cohesive album. Musicians who are involved in different projects have come together and have developed a common language and way of communicating with each other. They have much to share. Bo Djubi Songh is an invitation to reflect and enjoy celebration with the purest of joy. Kiriol’s lyrics, “Take Notice”, are meant to be a reminder of the universal language of great music. This album takes you on a musical journey through a variety of sounds and images, from rhythm and blues to jazz and folk. This record is a collection of improvisations by compadres, which balance between knowing, feeling, and doing. It is a metropolitan encounter with tribal forces and the sophistication of “other” music. They have had the opportunity to collaborate with musicians such as Israel Sandoval, Madrid’s children chorus, Ernesto “el Chino” Roque, a Cuban percussionist. Their first album, Candelaria, was released in 2008. It opened up the doors to world music and jazz festivals on both a national and global scale. With this second album, we can enjoy the newly created acoustics and electric sounds. Juan Carlos Aracil- Flute; Mario Diaz – Keyboard; Antonio Mangas – Drums; Fran Mangas – Saxophone; Jesus Maneru – Percussion; Mu- Voice y Percussion; Carlos Tato – Bass and, last but not least, Alvaro Barco – Sound Technician are all responsible for this musical exclamation both inside and outside the studio. The work combines energy and daring to the point that all of these artists combine their talent and nervousness to create pure, sincere music. from www.candelarialibre.com
