Carey Frank, originally from South Florida, now lives in Los Angeles, CA. Carey Frank is a musician who enjoys performing solo and in collaboration with other musicians from different genres and groups. Tedeschi Trucks Band and Susan Tedeschi were among his many collaborators. Carey spent a year in Orlando, FL, as a resident at Walt Disney World. Carey earned his Bachelor of Music in Jazz Piano Performance at the University of Central Florida. He was also a scholarship recipient of the Gold Coast Jazz Society as well as the Central Florida Jazz Society. Later, Carey received his Masters of Music degree in Jazz Studies from the University of Southern California. He studied with Russell Ferrente (Yellowjackets), Alan Pasqua and Peter Erskine. Carey’s self-produced debut album “Keep Smiling,” which he completed in the final semester of his Masters degree, was a #1 bestseller on Amazon Music in Cool Jazz. Carey was the Tedeschi Trucks Band’s 2017 Wheels Of Soul Tour spokesman. Carey then toured with the Tedeschi Trucks Band on smaller tours until Kofi returned to the band. Carey’s second solo album, “Something To Remember Him By”, was released during this period with Bruce Forman as his guitarist. Carey is a Los Angeles-based performing artist, recording artist and arranger. He also composes and teaches. He can be seen performing solo on piano, Hammond organ and keyboards as well performing with his bands: Strangers On a Saturday Night and Rumproller Organ Trio and The White Blinds.
