Centipede

Centipede was a British progressive rock/jazz big band that had more than 50 members. It was led by Keith Tippett (British free jazz pianist), and brought together many of the next generation of British rock and jazz musicians, such as e.g. From the bands Soft Machine and King Crimson to Nucleus, Blossom Toes, and Nucleus. They also performed some concerts, which were economically limited due to the size of their band. In 1971, they released Septober Energy (produced Robert Fripp), a double-album.
