Charlie Ballantine, a touring guitarist who is internationally recognized and has won numerous awards, is a highly acclaimed artist. He has performed as a headlining artist at many notable events, including the Penrod Art Festival and The Winnipeg International Jazz Festival. Folk Festival, The Bloomington Jazz Festival and The Elkhart Jazz Festival. Charlie has also been a regular performer at jazz clubs like The Jazz Kitchen (Indianapolis), Andy’s Jazz Club, Chicago, Cliff Bell’s (Detroit) and The Chatterbox in Indiana. His music is influenced by Wes Montgomery, John Scofield and Bill Frisell. Charlie’s debut album, “Green”, was released in early 2015. He received national recognition and was named 2015 “Jazz Musician Of The Year” by NUVO Magazine. Charlie’s award-winning, sophmore album, “Providence”, was released in May 2016. It received international acclaim from reviews from many reputable publications, including Jazz Times, Vintage Guitar Magazine and Absolute Sound. The album also made it into the top 100 of the jazz radio charts and was played on hundreds of stations around the world. His third album, “Where is My Mind”, was released in July 2017. It has been well reviewed and played on many continents, including Europe, Asia and North America. The much-anticipated fourth album, “Life Is Brief” by Bob Dylan, will be released in April 2018.
