Chris Clark is a Boston-based composer, saxophonist and instructor. He is equally comfortable performing in a variety of musical settings, from jazz and free improvisation to straight ahead styles. This has made him a unique and versatile player in the world of creative music. Cedar Wisely was his debut album and was released on Songlines Recordings in Vancouver, along with albums by Bill Frisell, Dave Douglas, James Carney and Tony Malaby. Chris has been a frequent performer in the Pacific Northwest, Reno/Lake Tahoe and has also performed as a sideman. Since moving to the East Coast, he has established a strong presence in the Boston/NYC music scene. Chris is also an accomplished educator. He has coached high school ensembles as well as a private teaching and coaching studio. Chris received his B.M. His B.M. in Jazz Studies was earned at the University of Oregon.
