Chris Connor

Chris Connor, born November 8, 1927 and died August 29, 2009. She was an American jazz singer who is well-known for her unique style and expression. Her father, a prominent musician from Kansas City, was her father. Chris quickly learned the clarinet and became proficient. Chris was a member of the “Snowflakes”, Claude Thornhill’s vocal group, and went on to become Stan Kenton’s lead singer. After recording for Bethlehem records, she began a long relationship with Atlantic records.
