Chris was born in Chicago and started playing the drums at age 3. He also began his first professional gigs at 11. Parker started recording and touring with Paul Butterfield, blues legend. He then entered the New York studio scene in 1970. He did records, film scores, and was the drummer at Saturday Night Live. Toph, as he is known to friends, has recorded many Grammy-winning albums and CDs including platinum, gold, and Grammy-winning albums with many artists such as Bob Dylan, Cher and Natalie Cole.
