Chuck Redd

Chuck Redd, a vibraphonist, began his career in 1980. He performed internationally for two decades with many jazz musicians before recording his first album in 1999 as a leader. Reed, who is a drummer and vibraphonist alike, began his professional career at 21 years old when he joined Charlie Byrd Trio. He performed with many other musicians, such as Dizzy Gillespie and Mel Torme, Tommy Flanagan and Ray Brown, over the years. From 1991 to 1996, Redd was with Torme, where he recorded Stomp, Look, his debut album as a leader.
