Clay Jenkins’ jazz career has included many musical experiences. He studied at The University of North Texas, then North Texas State University. There he received his Bachelor’s degree in Music Theory. John Haynie taught him trumpet. Clay began playing jazz trumpet with the Stan Kenton Orchestra after he received his degree. Clay recorded three live albums, Artistry in Symphonic Jazz and A Time for Love with the Kenton Band. I
