Compro Oro, a Ghent-based latin jazz group, released “Transatlantic”, their debut album in 2015. The band mixed traditional Cuban and Latin rhythms with wild guitar riffs, and exotic vibraphone infusions. The band’s EP, Bombarda, explores many ethnic music traditions and has the audience dancing to dark grooves with a touch of psychedelica. The band adds the Middle East sounds to their new album, “Suburban Exotica”, due out October 2019 on Sdban Utila. Dijf Sanders, keyboardist, produced the album. Joachim Cooder, the son of Ry Cooder, is special guest. He offers percussion and his effects-laden electric Mbira. from www.comprooromusic.be
