Csaba Palotai

1972 Born in Budapest, Hungary.
1979 I began playing accordion by myself.

1985 I started playing guitar by myself.

1986 He formed his first group, in which he recorded his very first compositions.

1987 I began lessons in Budapest’s music school with S(a]ndor Horanyi.

1992 He entered the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Budapest. He studied Jazz with Gyula Babos, a guitarist.

1996 He entered the National Conservatory of Advanced Music of Paris (Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique de Paris). Francois Jeanneau and Daniel Humair were his collaborators. Riccardo Del Fra, J-F Jenny-Clark, and Francois Jeanneau were also among his students. He was a participant in workshops with Ornette Coleman and Dave Liebman, Ritchie Beirach. Adam Nussbaum, Kenny Wheeler, and Ritchie Beirach.

1999 He played in various French ensembles, including Orchestre Europe-Afrique, Christophe Monniot and Orchestre National du Jazz, between 1999-2003. He toured France with Phenix, a theatre group that “accompanies singers.” I composed songs and scored two short films and wrote music for a theatre play.

2000 Graduated from the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique de Paris with a Diploma in Music. Grupa Palotai is a music group that tours France and Hungary regularly.

2003 Released his debut album, “Minimyths”, with Grupa Palotai and the label BMC. Csaba Palotai composed “Minimyths”, a CD for trio, quartet and quintet.
