French pop singer Dany Brillant was born in Tunisia, December 28, 1965. His lively mix of swing, rockabilly and Latin influences has won him a large European fan base. Brillant’s family moved from Tunisia to France was he was only a year old, settling in Sainte-Genevieve-des-Bois, a community not far from Paris. Brillant was 14 when his grandfather gave him a guitar. Although he wanted to become a doctor, he found that his studies were interrupted by his passion for music and formed a rock band.
