Daphna Sadeh

Daphna is an Israeli-born double bassist and composer who now lives in the UK. Sadeh studied classical music in New York at the Manhattan School of Music before joining the Israeli-based East West Ensemble. She toured extensively and was a keen student of Middle Eastern and Arabic music. Later, she was the co-leader and performer of Eve’s Women, an all-female group that played a mix of rock, jazz and klezmer. They also toured extensively internationally. Sadeh’s debut solo album, “Out Of Border”, was released in 2002 after she moved to London. The success of this album led to the formation in 2003 of the Voyagers band. Daphna Sadeh was credited with “Walking the Line” (2007) as well as “Reconciliation”.
