David Kikoski

Dave Kikoski, born September 29, 1961 in New Brunswick, New Jersey, is an American jazz pianist. Kikoski was a teenager who learned piano from his father. In the 1980s, he studied at Berklee College of Music. He then moved to New York City, where he recorded and toured with Roy Haynes (1986-1988), Randy Brecker (1986-1988), Bob Berg (1988) and Billy Hart (1989). He has recorded or played with Red Rodney and Barry Finnerty as well as Red Rodney, Craig Handy and Red Rodney. Kikoski was nominated for the Mingus Big Band’s Best Live Jazz Ensemble Album “Live at the Jazz Standard” Grammy Award in 2011. Roy Haynes also nominated Kikoski for the Grammy Award for “Birds of a Feather”. Wikipedia
