David Sills, an international sensation, continues to charm audiences across the globe. Sills is a well-known mainstay of the LA jazz scene, having been around since the mid-’90s. His unique style and sound allows him to blend jazz tradition with his own personal voice. He is a native of Los Angeles South Bay and has made himself a leading jazz saxophonist in Southern California. In his teen years, he began playing woodwinds and has since been dedicated to learning and perfecting his craft. He graduated from high school with a Bachelor’s degree in Saxophone Performance and a Masters in Jazz Studies from Manhattan School of Music. David Sills Quartet has had the honor of touring the United States, Europe and Asia since then. He also performs with David Benoit’s Acoustic Jazz Quartet, Line Up, and The Liam Sillery Quartet. David teaches private woodwinds at Pasadena City College as well as jazz improvisation at Cypress College. He also directs El Camino College’s big band and teaches clarinet, flute, saxophone, and clarinet lessons from his private studio. David is a Vandoren Performing Artist and plays Vandoren Reeds, and Mouthpieces. David performed alongside Dianne Schuur and Steve Tyrell at the KJazz benefit concert at Disney Concert Hall. from https://davidsills.com
