Northwest based pianist/composer/vocalist Dawn Clement has established herself as one of the most sought after musicians working today. Clement’s joyful personality, impeccable technique, and unique sound have earned her the respect of critics, musicians, and fans across the US and around the world. There are few voices in jazz. Dawn is one of the few. Legendary jazz trombonist Julian Priester said that there are not many. Dawn, who has 5 CDs to her credit, as well as appearing as a sidewoman on Jane Ira Bloom and Emi Meyers Monochrome, has been called the “Wonder Woman” of Seattle by Paul DeBarros (Seattle Times). Tandem is her latest release. She explores the magic and musical pairings with some of her closest musical friends. Clement has many honors to her name. She won three Earshot Jazz Golden Ear awards, competed in the Mary Lou Williams Piano Competition and played alongside jazz legends like Ingrid Jensen and Matt Wilson. Songs for string quartet are among her compositions.
