Don Braden

Don Braden is a great musician. He has toured the globe for many years leading his own bands, as a special guest and as a sideman to greats like Wynton Marsalis and Freddie Hubbard, Roy Haynes and Betty Carter. He has composed music in many styles for all kinds of ensembles, including duos and full symphonic orchestras. His recordings include 16 CDs as a leader, nearly 80 as sidemen, as well as for television and film. Bill Cosby was his composer for several years. He is also a world-renowned educator. He has spent almost two decades teaching master classes at numerous schools and universities, as well as running top-notch educational programs like the Litchfield Jazz Camp or NJPAC’s Jazz For Teens. He is a talented, technical, soulful, and innovative saxophonist. His harmonic and rhythmic sophistication gives him an unique approach to improvising, composing, and arranging.
