Doug Raney, August 29, 1956 – May 1, 2016, was an American jazz guitarist. He was the son Jimmy Raney. Raney started his career with his father, Al Haig. Later, he played in a duo alongside his father. He was a SteepleChase leader in the 1970s and 1980s. He worked with Kenny Barron and Joey DeFrancesco as well as Jesper Jordan, Jesper Ludgaard and Horace Parlan. From Wikipedia: Doug Raney moved from the United States to Denmark in 1977.
