Dub Syndicate

Dub Syndicate was a dub group that Adrian Sherwood formed. It became a platform for Style Scott’s collaboration with Adrian Sherwood (an ex-ace drummer with Creation Rebel and Roots Radics). Dub Syndicate was originally formed out of Creation Rebel. It had a traditional dub sound until its third album, Tunes From The Missing Channel (1985), when Dub Syndicate introduced a more experimental and technologically advanced dub sound. Dub Syndicate’s new sound was based on Scott, Sherwood and the interaction with Skip McDonald, Keith LeBlanc and Doug Wimbish. Dub Syndicate has worked with many artists, including Lee “Scratch”, Perry (vocals), Deadly Heley (saxophone), and Dr. Pablo (“melodica”) (N.B. Augustus Pablo is Dr. Pablo. Adrian Sherwood produced most of the output for the band, which was released on On-U Sound Records. Style Scott’s Lion recently released Dub Syndicate content.
