EDO is a new fusion group that Philippe BOURQUE (keyboard) and Jean-David VIEN (drummer), of the symphonic band LEITMOTIV have formed. They formed a group that was based on improvisation in November 2011. Rachel HARDY joined them on bass in December. They’ve been releasing shorter records since then (Canardiere, 2012 being a 16-minute long piece) as well as other EP’s of improvisational music fusion which also include elements of pop, funk and afrobeat.
