This unusual, dark, moody, and experimental release from Edzayawa, a teenage Ghanaian Afro-Rock band (Pronounced Ed-Zye-Ow – Ahh), is one of the rarer and more unique releases Soundway has brought back to life in the past ten year. The band arrived in Lagos in 1973 from Togo and were immediately taken under the wing by Fela Kuti. After a string of appearances at the Shrine club, Odion Iruoje, EMI Nigeria’s visionary producer, signed them. They recorded Projection One over two days in May 1973. This was their last release before disbanding two year later. from www.soundwayrecords.com
