Eivind Austad, a pianist/keyboard player, resides in Bergen (Norway). He holds a bachelor’s in jazz performance (Jazzlinja), from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), and a master’s in music teaching (Hib) from Bergen University College. Since the mid 1990’s, he has been a freelance musician and has performed with many well-known artists. His jazz projects include his own trio, Eivind Austad Trio, and the jazz quartet Living Space, led by Kjetil Moster, a great saxophone player. Other freelance projects include work with Ole Hamre (multi-artist), various theater gigs, band gigs of all kinds, and accompanist work for singers or choirs. The CV contains a more detailed list. Eivind is also a long time faculty member of The Grieg Academy, where he is working as Assistant Professor in jazz piano, ear training, arranging/composition, jazz history and ensemble. www.eivindaustad.no
