Electric Lady Big Band: 50 years of Hendrix’s masterpiece. A 16-piece, all-star big band featuring guitarist/arranger Denny Ilett recreates Electric Ladyland 1968’s double album. This is the album that established Jimi Hendrix as a visionary. This groundbreaking and iconic work, which was released 50 years ago, will be performed at the same club where Jimi heard his incredible guitar for the last time. The whole album, which was inspired by Gil Evans’ mid-70’s Hendrix compositions, will be performed in sequence. It features many of the UK’s most innovative and inspiring jazz soloists.
