Elifantree, an expressive trio, offers a musical journey from the borderlands of pop and improvised. The unusual trio includes tenor saxophones, vocals, and drums. The group has been performing all over Finland and internationally since 2007 and has gained a strong reputation for being an energetic, surprising live band. Elifantree’s 2011 performances added a few valuable performances to their already impressive record. The band performed at many notable events, including European Jazz Nights (Oslo), Jazzahead! (Bremen), 12Points! (Dublin), Jazz Au Cellah, (Rabat Morocco), Reykjavik Jazz festival Showcase and Tampere Jazz Happening Finland. The eagerly anticipated second album Time Out by Elifantree will be released in April 2012.
