Eliot Zigmund

Eliot Zigmund is a professional musician who has been performing professionally for more than 50 years. He is a native New Yorker who has been deeply influenced by the jazz tradition. He has recorded and performed extensively with jazz legends such as Bill Evans and Michel Petrucciani. Eliot has been involved in jazz education since his days as a faculty member at NYU Jazz Studies (NYC) and William Paterson University Jazz Studies (NJ). He currently teaches workshops and private lessons around the globe. Eliot splits his time these days between Teaneck, NJ and gigs around NYC. Current recordings/performing projects include collaborations with Pietro Tonolo and Chris Cheek, Emanuele Cisi and Christina von Bulow as well as pianists Pietro Tonolo and Chris Cheek.
