American jazz saxophonist. Born September 3, 1926 in Brooklyn, NY, USA. He died December 29, 1957 in New York City, NY. He went on to work alongside Charlie Ventura and Fats Navarro as well as George Auld, Max Roach and Kenny Dorham, Dizzy Giillespie And His Orchestra (’48–49, ’57), Illinois Jacquet, ’50–51, and Thelonious Monk, (’56–57).
