Eyolf Dale

Eyolf was born in Skien (Norway) on 5 March 1985. At the age of six, he began playing piano and took lessons shortly thereafter. He completed his graduate studies at the Norwegian Academy of Music in 2009 in performing jazz and improvisation, and then he took up improvisation in 2011. He is well-known for his solo work and the successful collaborations he has had with many jazz musicians, including Trondheim Jazz Orchestra, Hayden Powell Trio, Albatrosh and Hayden Powell Trio. He is a frequent performer and recording artist. He has also contributed to many international jazz festivals, including the North Sea Jazz Festival. He has performed as both a solo performer and as a sideman in many countries, including the USA, Germany, Nederlands and Poland, Czech Republic and Finland. His solo music displays the mature, reflective introspection often associated with Norwegian Jazz, but there’s also an explorative curiosity that’s becoming a hallmark of younger Nordic improvisers. from https://eyolfdale.wordpress.com
