Fania All-Stars, a salsa group founded by Johnny Pacheco in 1968 as a showcase of the top musicians and singers from Fania Records, the most prominent salsa record label of that time. Fania All Stars Live at the Cheetah Volumes 1 and 2 became the most successful Latin albums ever made by one group. Produced by Larry Harlow. Conga musicians Mongo Santamaria, Ray Barretto, and currently Mr Marcha were among the performers. Trombonist Willie Colon, Trombonist Larry Harlow and Papo Lucca played with him. Bobby Valentin was also a part of the group. Fania All-Stars was a group that outlived Fania Records which is now owned and operated by EMusic.
