Fattburger is a San Diego smooth jazz band. Their 1986 debut CD was titled “One of a Kind”. In 2004, they released the album “Work to Do”. Their website is fattburger.com. Fattburger is a popular jazz/pop group. Some have classified it as smooth jazz, contemporary jazz, and new adult contemporary music. The San Diego-based unit is still playing the same funky, accessible music it started with. Hollis Gentry was a high school saxophonist who led the Power group that opened for Cannonball Adderley in 1972 at a college concert. Gentry went on tour with R after graduating.
