It’s been a strange and long journey. It was a long, strange journey for Faye Miravite, composer. But it’s all part of the course. Faye took unusual paths on her journey to producing and writing her 7-song jazz CD, One of These Days/TheM Project, with bluebloods of Philippine music like Sandra Lim Viray and Egay Anvenir, Jun Viray and Romy Posadas. Faye earned a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Mathematics at the U.S., where she lived for many years. She was tired of living in the rat race and moved to Italy via Spain. There she studied Art History, and then went on to complete a doctorate of philosophy at the University of Florence. Between, she learned the piano and wrote poetry. After settling in Florence, she became an Italian citizen. Somewhere in her busy life, she took lessons in jazz harmony and discovered that there was a growing collection of music in her.
