Fiction, a Portland, Oregon fusion band, sounds very much like Mahavishnu. (Indeed, pay attention to the violin…it’s really cool!) Mixing instrumental Rush and King Crimson. Fiction was together between 1998 and 2003, with some line-up changes. However, the core group of guitarist, bassist, and drummer remained consistent throughout. This is their sole official CD. My drummer, me, has been making music in this vein for Graxxus. However, we have yet to release a CD with our current line-up. It is almost identical in terms of instrumentation to the one below.
