Fima Ephron

My family was born in London, England. We moved to New York when I was three years old. At thirteen, I began playing bass. At the age of 14 I started playing professionally. I was a student at Queens Collage’s Music and Art High School and New York University. Some of the artists I’ve worked with are: Screaming headless Torsos, Lost Tribe, Walter Becker, Gil Scott Heron and Natalie Merchant; Hasidic New Wave. Thurwell and Steroid Maximus; Nir Felder; Big Heat; Nate Smith Group. I’m also a designated sub in the Tony-award winning Broadway show, “Memphis”, and an adjunct professor at the New School for Social Research Jazz Studies Department. I have released two solo records, Soul Machine for Tzadik and Quiet City. from http://www.fimaephron.com
