Florian Weber, a pianist, was born in Detmold (Germany) in 1977 as the son of an opera singer and a music professor. He studied classical music in Detmold, and jazz in Cologne. He was 19 when he became a pianist with Germany’s National Jazz Orchestra. He was awarded a stipend to Boston’s Berklee College of Music in 1999.
