Forty Seven Times Its Own Weight

A great indie album from a band who traveled in the same area as Starcrost’s soul group! The work is American but has many great qualities. It reminds us of European fusion of the same time. A sense of soaring energy and a feeling of stretching energy. There are also some lighter rhythms and gentler tunes which allow for some amazing moments by the horn parts. The instrumentation includes soprano, tenor and trumpet as well as electric and acoustic keyboards and some percussion. All of it was recorded with a wonderful sense of warmth, much in the style of some of the finest Fantasy Records 70s sessions. from
