Fred Scott Trio Fred began drum lessons in fourth grade. At age 13, he recorded Drum Boogie, a 45 rpm album. He continued to be a member of the Roy Brooks Aboriginal Percussion Choir, and Charley Banister’s Detroit Drum Ensemble until he reached adulthood. He recorded with Wendell Harrison during the 70’s on his album Dreams of a Love Supreme. He also began studying Theory and piano with Robert Pypho in the 70’s. Fred Scott recorded the albums EL Lobo, Tropicool and Easy Does It in the 1980’s. He recorded and worked with Blues legends Mr. Bo (Luis Collins), Bo Bo Jenkins and Willy D. Warren. He recorded his Good Times and Bad album in the 90’s. Fred and Cool Mood, his trio, released the CD Unknown Soul 2004, followed by the CD Soul Portraits 2007. Fred is currently working on a new CD.
