Born in North Tonawanda in New York, Gary Brumburgh is a jazz stylist. He was the son of a pianist and classical singer. In the late 1970s, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in performance. He acted in commercials (Pizza Hut), films (Repossessed), and television (Days of Our Lives), as well as performing in clubs and musical theatre leads of shows such as South Pacific (starring alongside John Raitt), Cabaret, Company, Sugar, and his final, the jazz-edged, Ovation winning City of Angels at Los Angeles Colony Theatre. After a long hiatus, he returned to jazz after meeting mentor Ellen Johnson.
