Guy Davis

Guy Davis once stated, “I like antiques, old things, and places that still have dust from those who’ve gone ahead of us lying upon them.” This is something Guy has been doing for more than twenty years, both in songwriting and performing. His reverence for the music and legacy of the Blues Masters is evident on every album he has ever released or concert he has given. Guy’s musical storytelling has been influenced by Blind Willie McTell, Big Bill Broonzy and others. His musicality was also influenced by Lightnin Hopkins and Babatunde Olatunji. Guy is most proud of Sonny Terry’s harmonica skills. He stole and credit everything he could from him, which Guy credits to his greatest contribution. Guy’s new album Sonny
