HAPPY55, a Russian avantgarde band, plays their original music in an instrumental trio. They use piano, synths, clarinet, and drums, and have no stylistic limitations. Some critics see a tendency towards a club-style aesthetic in their music. Others notice Glass’s minimalistic style and influence of Prokofiev, Schtockhausen and Ives. However, no one can claim that their music is identical to another.
