Harold Danko

Harold Danko, born June 13, 1947 in Ohio, is an American jazz pianist. Danko studied at Youngstown State University. His credits include work with the big bands of Chet Baker and Woody Herman as well as the smaller ensembles with Gerry Mulligan, Lee Konitz, and Jeff Hirshfield. He also performed with Rufus Reid and Gregory Herbert. Danko currently teaches at Eastman School of Music. Since 1993, Danko has been a prolific recording artist for Steeplechase Records.
